As the title reads above, I believe Dragons Breath is better than many of you may think. Better than Gjallahorn in many cases.
I am not saying it replaces Ghorn in every encounter, just in some situations.
I run DB in Crota's End in every phase except for the Crota fight with extreme success.
Lamps - Drop a huge blast with the Flare at a lamp and let your fireteam recover breifly.
Dropping a blast in your path will cause the thrall to disperse all over the place, often killing themselves falling into holes.
And lastly, firing it at the base of the bridge, keeps thrall back, while you wait for it to build and while you sprint across the bridge.
Bridge- If you know the lanes where the mobs spawn, you can spam them with DB, dealing significant damage to them as soon as they exit.
Hallway - 1 DB rocket at 331 kills a shrieker. Also, firing the rockets into the hallway, clears it of thralls for your runner to make the 2nd chest.
Ir Yut- This encounter is where the Rocket Launcher really shines. After killing both wizards, and clearing the shriekers on both sides, rush left and dump 5 remaining DB's shells into her and she literally melts. She barely moves, and basically sits in the AOE damage the whole time. Not to mention it deals TONS of damage to the adds around her.
Also, most of the strike bosses hardly move, which makes DB extremely effective for them. Such as the devil walker, valas, phogoth, sepikis, the templar in VOG and the nexus. The list goes on and on.
Edit: I'll get some guardians together today, and use our DB's to show just how effective they are. Stand by for youtube links. Give me a day or so, I am a parent so I get about 1-2 hours a day tops.
Oh wow, this is trending. Apparently people don't believe me.

I agree it has it uses in certain situations most obviously the shriekers. Some stirke bosses too. Many destiny players will just go along with whatever other people think so it's almost taboo to say anything is better in some situations than jelly.

6 回复由Unholy Trinity Ghoul编辑: 2/2/2015 7:05:23 PMTested on the Arkon Priest i recorded the Dragon's Breath's damage vs the Hunger Of Crota. Dragon's Breath did 2748 splash damage and 909 on impact and weirdly enough an extra 509 out of nowhere. Hunger Of Crota did 2546 splash damage and 786 on impact. Dragon's Breath does solar flare with extra damage doing about 4 or 5 104's every second for 4 seconds. Hunger Of Crota does drops cluster bombs that immediately did 66, 10 times. Give or take, there are times when nearly none of those cluster bombs hit the initial target. Hunger Of Crota holds 6 rounds initally. Dragon's Breath holds 7 rounds initially. I also noticed a DPS difference between the two. With the Dragon's Breath melting bosses significantly faster due to the extra rocket and higher damage per rocket. However i really liked the tracking on the Hunger Of Crota. But nothing was cooler than stumbling Phogoth, launching all three rockets and just watching his health bar melt. Worth an exotic slot? Your decision. Like and bump for damage reference so that everyone can see.

由keezdawg编辑: 3/13/2015 1:34:08 PMI totally agree. I never wanted one but ended up getting one in Nightfall. Pyromancer is a great perk and to be honest if you need tracking to succeed in a raid you are a total noob. This isn't the best in all situations but great for bosses that don't move much, crowd control and GREAT for The Abyss. Shoot it on the pathways when thralls are coming and thats that. It clears the way and your team gets to regen some health. I even enjoy this for Control in PVP when a group is capturing a control point. Just crank up the velocity.

1 回复I have it and I have to say it is quite effective at times. He does have a point it can be superior to all Rocket Launchers in quite a few encounters/situations. Take Vault of Glass for example it can be used effectively at the Templar and Atheon Battles. For the Templar you can have everyone one stay up top with Icebreakers and Dragons Breath, while the Relic Holder hops down you pass the first Oracle and once the Relic Holder takes down his shield everyone fires upon him with the AOE Damage draining his health extremely fast the Relic Holder stops the Templar from moving away and if done right it can be destroyed in less than 2 minutes, easy right? Take Atheon for another example while the Times Vengance is active everyone jumps up just enough to fire a rocket at him and he rarely moves and he can also be dead in the first to second Relic....
