This isn't really advice but more like words of encouragement. I was 17 I met this girl from a friend of mine. I was completely in awe when I first saw her. Only thing was, this girl was dating my friends older brother, who was complete asshole, go figure right. But everyday while hanging out with my friend she would come over to see my friends brother. We would chit chat, just small talk but at the same time I felt like she was flirting with me. So a few weeks later they broke up. I didn't see her again. So one night several weeks later I'm hanging with my other friend at his house, one who is like a brother to me. He's on the phone with some girl he met on AOL, BTW the year is like 1999 lol. I hear him say hey my friend Eric (that's me) just walked in I'm going have to go soon. Then he said my last name. The girl he just met was friends with the girl I had liked and haven't seen in weeks. And she was there with her now. I thought what are the odds!! So me and her exchanged numbers. We started dating, we dated for 6 weeks then I turned 18. She was 16. Her dad found out she was dated an 18 year old who drove and thought it was the end of the world. So she could no longer see me again. She was forbidden. We still tried to talk on the phone but since this was 1999 no one had cell phones so her dad blocked my number. But the last convo we had she said when she turns 18 she'll come find me. Then we lost contact again all together. Fast forward another year and a half I been seeing this other girl now I met at work. One day I was talking my little brother to school for the last week before summer break. I hear someone call my name, it was her. I couldn't believe my eyes again. She ran over to my car with a huge smile. She was like I have great news!! I asked what it was. She said that her dad didn't care anymore who she could date. I was confused, I said aren't still a few months away from turning 18? She said yes but it doesn't matter, I asked my dad he said I con now. She said, I even asked him if I could date that one guy who you forbidden me to see that works at papa johns, he said sure. I was thrilled but now confused. since I been seeing this other girl. Well long story short, the other turns out the girl I was seeing was cheating on me anyway. So I dumped her. Got with the girl I waited nearly two years for. We were together had a daughter and got married. So wait it out if you really like this girl or atleast try to. You just never know how the stars will line up my friend! EDIT for TL;DR readers. I waited almost two years for a girl, it was worth it, we dated, got married had a daughter together.
