Well the Cabal are supposed to be very militaristic. I did my best to try to capture that trait. So, since this Gladiator actually had a chance to fight, instead of the one that took a big piece of metal to the dome, what did you think of him compared to the other Cabal types?

由SaviorsBlood编辑: 1/28/2015 1:28:24 AMFrom what I remember, he never backed away. At least not until he had no choice in the matter and got his head thrown into the ground. Gladiators never run. Yes, I have. First chapter I mentioned them in was Chapter 6, the first combat chapter of Shachal. Close range specialists of the Fallen faction.

由SaviorsBlood编辑: 1/28/2015 1:37:30 AMI'm guilty of the same thing often times. I have to say the Gladiator was my favorite Cabal concept in their hierarchy. I've had fun making them distinctly ferocious compared to their other counterparts. They don't follow the same regulations the more formal soldiers are in regards to authority. What did you think of my only grenade concept? Good? Bad? Ugly? All of the above, depending on who you're talking about?

由SaviorsBlood编辑: 1/28/2015 2:05:25 AMThe Legate and the Imperator. And they were inspired from the Roman military. Back when I was building my story, and I came to the hierarchies of each faction, friend and foe alike, and started building upon what they had introduced. Back then, all we knew about were Legionnaires and Centurions, but it doesn't take a genius to know they were inspired by the Roman military hierarchy, so that's where I did my research. So in ascending order, at least in my story, you get Legionnaire, Centurion, Praetorian, Gladiator (which is somewhat separate from the formal military, but serves as the strongest Cabal outside of the leadership), Legate, and the Imperator (the usual translation for the Roman Generals). There is one other Cabal, however, that I haven't introduced yet, but I would be surprised if anyone can't determine which one that is. Fallen go from Dreg, Vandal/Marauder/Raider, Captain, Honor Guard, Admiral, and Lord. That is their complete hierarchy. And as far as Hive go, you have the Thrall, Sentry, Sorcerer, Knight, and Paladin. There are another three units that haven't been introduced in that one. And as for the Vex, well their time will come.

Mars is owned by the Cabal, but that doesn't keep the Fallen from visiting when necessary. If you remember correctly, they do have an alliance between them. You could say there was an agreement that the Cabal and Fallen would get their own planets. Cabal got Mars, and Fallen get Earth. Only thing is the complete dominion of Earth hasn't come to fruition yet, and that explains why the Fallen are so bitter toward humanity and are getting so aggressive.

What about the Vex? Haha, they have Venus right? I'm sorry, but I'm going to be very tight-lipped about the Vex. Their introduction is special, so not as to spoil it, I'm not going to say more than what you know. They're time-traveling robots that occupy Venus. That's about all you're gonna get for now, and you can thank Bungie for that kind of openness on a factor of the story.
-
Well, be sure to hang onto that thought when I do get to the Vex and even afterward. No, not yet, but they will play their part, just like the others. I've designed each faction to be particularly relevant to the story. All of them are important and serve an important role in the plot, each in their own unique ways.

由SaviorsBlood编辑: 1/28/2015 1:01:12 AMI guess that's one way of putting it. I gotta say it: I hated writing this one man. Do me a favor and read the end again. You know what part, but while you do, listen to the song "Epilogue" by Eluveitie, and try to tell me that doesn't fit the ending. Or at least think of the conclusion while you listen to it. Edit: Found it. Just watch the attached video.

Inadvertently, yes. I didn't even realize I was matching the theme when I started playing Eluveitie in my Itunes library. By the time I finished proofreading the end, I was listening to the Prologue of the same album, which is spoken by the same man and has the same style. After noticing that, I went to listen to the more instrumental Epilogue and reread the end. I was astounded at the match. Even the whole Celtic music style fit, but probably most of all, the words spoken by the narrator seemed to create a similar imagery within this chapter.
