Im sorry, but a 31 has no business in the hard raid. The normal mode is there for you to get armor drops and materials to level to a 32. Go put your time in, get your armor/ materials, rank up to a 32, and then go do the hard raid. Pretty simple.

It's kinda true. 31's take a giant damage reduction in hard mode with taking much more damage. They can't handle the sword against crota due to the 2 level difference. Also, boomer duty is going to be extremely hard for a 31. The only use I can see for a 31 is a defender bubble for the sword-carrier.
