I think the problem is the risk/reward. As BEEZ pointed out, there's no rewards associated with that section. If there were no rewards for the gate keeper/defend the conflux leading up to Atheon, people would have likely been jumping straight from the templar (after the chests) directly to Atheon also.

No need for name calling. :) I really don't give a shyt if the fight is easy (I agree with "Easy") the point is No Prize....which Bungie has said they will change in their latest update/patch post. So the point I and alot of other Guardians have made will come into play next Tuesday.
