People cheese because they can get to the end after wiping many times, kill crota and get rewarded a whopping 3 radiant shards or energy. I know it's RNG, but it should be a guaranteed 1 weapon/armor or even the ship but 3 shards? From the final boss? Even if its duplicate stuff, it's better than 3 freaking shards. I've beat it legit many times, so I'm ready for hard, but I'll continue to cheese until it's fixed.
