I've been wondering the last few days while playing this game and browsing the forums. Why does this all take place only in the inner Sol system planets and no where else? We have several intergalactic races, cabal, hive and vex (inter-dimensional?), a race that looks twisted, fallen (radiation, in the dark too long (GINGERS!!!)) and guardians (3 races). Supposedly during the golden age there was an expansion yet even the moon looks sparsely colonized at best. All these races come to this one system and draw battle lines that seem to stay there and that's it. They don't even expand past 3 planets and a moon out of the 8 planets and dozens of moons it seems. Why only in this one system considering the vastness of space? Even with the traveler stuck on earth there has to be more systems involved not just Sol. Why this one point in a single dimension, in a single galaxy? Further thought: cabal and vex are in a war of attrition on mars. Cabal have a vast empire and destroy planets and moons. Vex warp time and space. Why does mars still exist? Further further thought: darkness is sweeping across the galaxy destroying all in its path yet gets stopped at a single point, wouldnt the darkness continue to flow around the point and eventually envelope it? Why would the single point stop the flood that is the darkness?
