I appreciate you shedding some actual light on the situation, but this is super frustrating. Sony execs should have better business savvy than this, in my opinion. The outages made their consumer base mad, and now to keep it offline at their leisure while Xbox has been doing its best to go right back up makes Sony look bad.

Couldn't agree with you more. Why keep them offline now that the attacks have stopped beats me. I have reports of some servers abroad going back up but the psn site clearly still status they are down. Also some servers do online and right back down for tests, is able to login earlier for about an hour and now back down.

Same here I woke up this morning jumped right on the playstation store and figured oh nice is back up, tried destiny and got the can't connect to PSN, everything went downhill from there. I guess this time around they might be worried about an influx of users crashing the servers again with so many of us itching to get back on, but they should be more than equipped to handle that and if not at least be upfront about it and give us a timeframe, this waiting with nothing but to keep checking really sucks
