Public Apology
So today I get home from work and get on Destiny to nock out the dailies and what not. While fiddling around in orbit after picking up the bounties in tower I notice a friend playing the mission I need too for a bounty completion.
This friend had an open slot so I glady joined, since a 30lvl miasion at the heroic setting is tough and figured he would appreciate help.
No sooner than when I get the loading screen my little bounty accomplishment goes off for a completion and hear over the mic " you've got to be -blam!-ing kidding me". All I could say was sorry over and over. Once I load into the mission review page, just to add insult to injury I'm awarded a legendary engram and shards while the other two get blues...
I feel so bad and am here to apologize for anyone who has had this happen to them. Its completely unfair and to my two friend s may RNGesus find favor with you.

Edit 2: thanks for your comments. I just wanted to clarify that I didn't feel bad about jumping in the end if their mission. I get that it happens. I felt bad about the RNG Even though I can't really control that either. I hate getting something for nothing ( I'm a little old school).

Don't apologize, the rewards are random. They were always gunna get what ever they get. I sometimes hold of on finish a mission and invite a friend for an easy reward. One often get a legendary just for joining me at the last minute. Its actually become a running joke now.

3 回复You went in with good intentions and he had a public join or friend join status. If he didn't want that he could have set up dif. Maybe let karma work itself out and leave your settings open for others to join aswell.

10 回复I hate random joins. I'd like it if ppl would msg first before joining. I guess they at least made it so more ppl didn't make things impossible. I booted a guy this week during nightfall cuz he hopped in no word at all and the proceeded to use void weapons. I gave him 5 min to change and he didn't. :/

I just posted in another thread about this happening to me on the earth strike once. I got dumped into an in progress strike moments before the other two killed the servitor. I got a lg rocket launcher as a reward. I had 2 kills I believe.

2 回复That's actually the same exact way I got my ice breaker. Hopped into a friend's nightfall session and two seconds after spawning I'm awarded the ice breaker. As a result he kicked me from the fire team and deleted me as a friend lol

2 回复Its not you that needs to apologize. Its Bungie, for distributing loot in a chaotic/unfair manner. Yes, you can argye real life is the same way, but we play these games to get away from real life. We want everything to be fair in video games. We want our voices to be heard. I used to defend this game. I used to tell people to "chill, Bungie is listening". The only patch that theyve got right was the exotics buff patch. One oout of like 6 patches has been worthy. Why, instead of making us grind the ever living shit out of this game, arent we swimming in legendary drops post level 20? I want to choices on gear, choices on weapons. Not " i guess im stuck with these gloves, because nothing else will drop for me". I enjoy putting in an effort, but for what? So Bungie can reset the gear and exotics all over again? They can take the carrot, and put it even further away from us? This new raid only has 5 chests (so far) and ive recieved nothing but radiant energies. Why? Why are those given so much, whenever im sitting here with gear i bought from vendors, and a helm from vanilla destiny? I no longer defend this game. I think a lot of us have had our 'last straw' with this game by now. Ive put a lot of hours in this game, and look back on it as a dissapointment. Naybe im unlucky, but that shouldnt matter.

1 回复If they're mad they're douche bags. I spend the last few minutes of dailys ,weekly and nightfalls hiding and messaging people on my list to join if they need them. Usually after soloing the boss to a sliver of health. It's been done for me as well. They may not be people worth keeping on your friends list.

6 回复I think that if they don't want anyone joining, they should just close their fireteam (invite only). It's not like you knew they were at the end so it really isn't your fault

If I'm doing the mission, I would have done it anyway, so why would I be bothered? What goes around comes around. Yesterday a friend dragged me through the nightfall even though he had done it already so that I could get loot... And, again and again and again with this, IT'S RNG!!! you getting the legendary doesn't take away or add chance for the others to get it. Being passed off at you for that is just stupid.
