Maybe I should start explaining the messages in all of my songs.
Stranger in a strange land
(A merrymaking whale in the Flood)
Was a year ago that I left home and came this way
I was a young whale, full of hope and dreams.
But now it seems to me that all is lost and
nothing gained
Sometimes things ain't what they seem
No brave new world, no brave new world
No brave new world, no brave new world
(A year ago I started posting my greetings in an effort to bring people joy, I lost hope sometimes as the Flood is always going to Flood)
Night and day I scanned horizon, sea and sky
My spirit wandered endlessly
Until the day whale dawn and friends from home
discover why
Hear me calling, rescue me
Set me free, set me free
Lost in this place, and leave no trace
(I scoured the forums a lot to make sure I was always in the know on the happenings of the Flood, then I there was the whole scavenger hunt for my main which I was trying to get people to find my main but I was also covering my tracks.)
Stejneger in a Stejnege land
Land of vice and woe
Trapped inside this prison
Lost and far from home
(Whale in the Flood trapped here doing these greetings for the sake of the schedule far from my home in space)
One entire year has gone and men again
they came that way
To find the answer to the mystery
They found my body lying where it fell on that day
Preserved in time for all to sei
No brave new world, no brave new world
Lost in this place, and leave no trace
(The mystery of my main is found out which was preserved in the tags of my first threads)
What became of the Flood that started
All is gone and the souls departed
Left me here in this place
So all alone
(The update happens and everything changes people leave and I'm still here with a lot of my friends gone.)
Another way to look at the song is that I came back to the Flood after a year of retirement (didn't want to wait that long) and the Flood is so different that it's unrecognizable.
...yeah, I can pretty much say I'd never have been able to decipher that from that pun'd version of that song.
Ever.
Honesty, I didn't even know the whale pun'd versions of songs had hidden meanings. I just thought you were throwing whale puns into songs you liked for the Hell of it. While I do commend you for both your imagination, and effort you put into your posts, I will say I would have never put that into deciphering them seeing as how the Flood sets the bar of "deep" posts pretty low. As a result, I wouldn't have thought anybody would post anything that needs deciphering and thusly wouldn't have ever thought to look at yours that way.
Cool to know though. If you ever pun a song I actually know, I'll think about it.
It's true what you say about the deep posts and people not looking into them, but I've almost always had an underlying message in my songs, at least all the iron Maiden ones (there are a lot) I whale admit some of the others just made for good puns, but usually I have something else going on in the background.

Dammit, Whale...
Anyway, good to know. I'll definitely look at your pun'd songs for their meanings. I'd hate to let actual effort in posts here remain unsean.
Also #whalesongs whale help you in your search, along with hiding messages in my posts I also have a network of tags that link specifc types of threads. #eightletters for the scavenger hunt, #thefinalfrontier for my retirement/end of the flood due to Bblind update and offsite migration. #OperationANIMAL is a good one too and all my post retirement posts whale have #cetaceanshenanigans on them
