Thank you for your interest. I had bought the model as soon as it was review by critic sites highly, if I had known of these issues I'd have went with a different model.
I "broke in" the TV with slides for well over 250 hours, on top of hundreds of hours of general review before gaming. I played BF4 A LOT when it came out, but due to the HUD opacity slider I had zero problems, even with the screen set to a rather bright setting.
Destiny on the other hand has a very solid, static HUD as you know, but due to having no issues before, I assumed the time of play where the HUD wasn't active would be enough..
It certainly sucks, big time..
