You're an idiot. Plain and simple. MMORPG are about progression. You don't take away progress made. Experienced MMO game developers know this. Bungie is a staff of noobs and should have done their homework.
And especially only 3 months after vanilla release of the game. You don't take away progress made, hours invested.
I've put in over 900 hours (X1 compare me) in this game across three characters with over 20 exotics. Unless you have that much time invested and exotics accumulated, you can't grasp how this announcement impacts a player.
My recent mmo history. WoW 2004 - 2012. City of Heroes/Villians 2004-2007. Lineage 2 2006-2008. Numerous RPGs including Diablo since version 1. Point here is, I know MMOs and I know what we SHOULD expect with the work we put into a game.
Bungie screwed up and will lose lots of the player base because of it.

由Iris编辑: 12/5/2014 11:43:24 AMYou do take progress away. Example: DLC, New gear patch, leveling to a higher rank. Old gear becomes irrelevant. And you're NOT FORCED, ITS OPTIONAL! to restart gear to get it to current gear status. And armor and attack starts at 302 so you're not resetting the damage. Be thankful bungie let us upgrade our gear to not be obsolete

You might want to be a little more careful when you call someone an idiot. Especially when you have failed at math. Checking your profile, you have logged about 531 hours and 48 minutes in Destiny (I ignored the seconds). You see when you aren't even capable of converting days, hours, and minutes properly, the rest of what you say tends to lack any credibility. You have still logged more hours than me, but not by nearly as much as you claim. I also have 26 exotics, not all of them maxed, but the majority of them are. So I can "grasp" how this announcement impacts a player. It can actually impact them in two ways (when looking at how close Destiny is to an MMO). Reaction #1: I have to level all my gear all over again? This sucks! Please make the expansion easier because I want to retain my godlike ability even though there has been a level cap increase. (this is the reaction of someone who does not understand that with most MMO's when there is a level cap increase, your current gear becomes irrelevant and you have to grind for new gear to be able to keep up with the new content) **It should also be noted that this reaction is completely incorrect. You don't have to level ANY gear at all if you don't want to Reaction #2: I get the option of bringing my current gear up to the new level cap if I want? This is GREAT! (this is the reaction of someone who understands how level cap increases work in ANY given game)

由aknaff编辑: 12/4/2014 8:00:47 PMSo if your X1 hours are different from your currently logged Destiny hours, does that mean you deleted and restarted characters? If so then you have reset nearly 400 hours of playtime (400 hours worth of progress). Why are you upset with the (completely optional) exotic reset again?

由Uberkull编辑: 12/4/2014 8:23:33 PMI never deleted any characters. I think the issue with X1 hours played is it considers the time the game started till the time you switched games or the x1 went to sleep. So X1 goes to sleep after some time when you turn the xbox off by voice or controller. It wakes up to your voice command. In there I think it keeps counting some of the time Destiny is still up. Honestly not sure how Bungie calculates time played and given their track record on other development items...well, no need to pile on.

What progress are they taking away? From what I hear, the new Exotics base will start at 299. That is 1 less attack power than a fully upgraded exotic. So, if this is true and you are seriously crying one missing 1 attack power, you have some serious issues.
-
So me having 245 hours into this game over 3 characters means I have no idea about this game? Seriously? Me grinding for materials, xp, doing bounties and raids for shards and energies to level up the exotics I have means "I don't get it?" Seriously......check someone profile before you decide to speak. Makes you look like an uninformed moron.

Progression isn't lost? Lol... Greens replace hard earned & upgraded purples on day 1 of expansion and the grind begins anew. This new system gives you the chance to turn something you earned into something you can take with you. The upgrade part was also made a lot easier. Quit crying. Plain and simple.
