You could go both ways with this vid. Cops: See a guy carrying around a katana. Guy starts running. Cops chase him thinking he may be up t something. With all due respect to this poor man they shouldn't have shot him. Tazed maybe, but not shot to death. The guy should have just stopped and tried to explain that it wasn't a real sword. They may have taken him in but the worst he would have gotten was a slap on the wrist. Carrying a fake weapon in public is a very bad idea. Running from cops with a realistic looking weapon is an even worse idea. He didn't deserve to be killed but he made a few bad decisions.

Shot 6 times while running away after not even threatening anyone or the cops.... Going by the video it looks more like they got tired of running once the got to the Panda Express and just shot him. He must of seemed heaps threaten go by that girl at the start walking casually and unafraid at the start *sarcasm*

Carrying a weapon and running doesn't sound like concrete evidence of needing to shoot him. They just randomly spotted him walk while (from what it looks like from the video) stopping for donuts, no one called in a threat, if they were so unfit they couldn't catch him on foot they should of let him go and called it in. Maybe things are different in the state but in Australia (where our cops are quiet trigger happy) they wouldn't of shot him without him threatening them or someone else first. And I'm hard pressed to imagine the same thing happening to a geeky white kid that did the same.

Agreed. It makes me grit my teeth when police shoot or brutally beat someone for the dumbest reasons and are later acquitted. Why can a cop brutalize innocent people to near death and be let off the hook? Makes you wonder what goes through the mind of the judges.

Lol no he was fcking not. How ignorant can you be? He had no affiliation with any type of government body and he was a self appointed watch dog vigilante for his neighborhood. Your whole reason for making this thread was to show police brutality but the fact you think this situation even remotely helps that claim shows how truly stupid you are when it comes to your own beliefs. If you want to make a strong argument, you need to do just the tiniest bit of research beforehand. Zimmerman is not connected to the police in any way, shape or form nor any type of government authority. Learn. To. Research.
