Despite the dreariness and depression I felt after reading this post, it disappoints me to say that its true.
There is no feeling of any kind of impending doom upon us, only the feeling that we're all errand boys that all wear similar stuff. The tower and city seem like the most peaceful and tranquil places in the entire game, yet it stands as mankind's last bastion. Its like no danger will ever come there, yet there are the legends of the fabled 'twilight gap' in the story. Surely if there are murderous aliens on Earth and elsewhere trying to kill us, wouldn't they all be trying to storm the city's walls, since that's the only place where humans are left? It makes no sense sometimes.
But the game is still really fun to play.

"They brought us here. The Vex. Evil so dark it despises all other evil." the exo stranger let the faction wars begin in earnest. the darkness is returning. we will not survive it this time. there are plans but which faction plan will win? only the faction that wins the most rep will win! ah! 'do not wait too long to join a faction' new monarchy man but then will their plan work? and "when will we know it is time?" as the dead orbit man says. i hope this helps, xb1 gt linhue i will probably be sniping on the moon from the gra...um...rocky knoll.
