Oh also: definitely do the dragon's keep thing or whatever it's called. It let's you go back and make all the major choices from the previous games/expansions. So if you're big into the lore of the world you'll love it

Not on console but you can on pc or phone. I usually don't like the stuff on pc's like this (like the -blam!-ing grimoire cards), but there's no way for them to transfer over save files from previous gen, even more so considering the amount of people who switched console brands.
