'Boar' error on PS3 solved by creating fresh US account to install, original purchase from HK PSN
As topic. Neither my EU, JP, nor HK accounts (including the original purchase account) could log into the game - the internal patcher would always abort the client with the 'boar' error.
After discussions with Bungie support, I tried creating a fresh US PSN account. Loading the client with this prompted a PSN Store download of 'Destiny Compatibility Patch 1,' after which the client auto-updated itself fine, and logged into the game.
Hope this helps anyone else with similar problems.

I still have that problem even after trying a new PSN account, i added the address of Brooklyn, New York from US postal code 11201 and still getting "boar'-ed. Also my code for Vanguard Armory is not working either, when i put it in and confirm it i get this.. " The code you entered may not be correct or may no longer be valid. Please check your entries". It says it's valid 09/09/14 - 09/09/15. I just the freakin game and i can't play it :/
