I love my exotics, and I want them to always feel like MY exotics. I think a great way of doing that is to give us the option of customizing our exotic weapons and maybe even armors. Imagine this, you have a SUROS Regime and feel a little like one of the herd when you walk into the Tower and see five or more other people with the same gun, sure they may have different loadouts, but visually they are indistinct. Fear not! For it is within your power to rectify this. Go over to the formerly underused and underappreciated gunsmith and have a chat. When you do, you'll notice an exotic icon, select that to receive the option of three or more challenging quests to change the aesthetic of your beloved gun. The first selections may let you get an alternate paint job, the next may change the damage type and therefore the color of the rounds, and the last may give your gun an aura or different sound. After the quest chain your SUROS will truly be your own. Just my idea, let me know any suggestions or preferences you all may have. Like buying the mods with motes/strange coins like we do with Sparrows. Edit: Another idea I saw on a separate thread today was a create-your-own legendary system using quests. I like the idea, however, I would like the option to create-your-own exotic using a legendary as a base frame instead. Either option would be nice. Though the issue of naming the exotic or legendary then comes into play. If the player is allowed to name it, there will be those who use profanity which means a filter would be put in which may block out other names. It then becomes a huge mess. That's my thought anyway.
