That had nothing to do with what this thread is about what-so-ever. A video that has nothing but a dude-vent bashing the game with nothing but PvP game play for the video was not the kind of video I was wanting to see, especially since he's basically vent-bashing while displaying the only complete part of the game. EDIT: I really wish the guy who made that video would put his passion for things into practice through something other than games as well. The only real way we'll ever be able to keep the top 1% from ruining things for everyone is to remove them from their thrones, and unfortunately boycotting is not an effective way of doing that these days, I'm not entirely sure if there is a good way of going about it but boycotting is too easy for them to evade. Unless it was like a three second snip-it where he stopped having PvP as the background video to show that then I don't remember it, if you know a time spot on the video where I should watch more carefully, if you could please tell me I'll watch that part of it again. I'll admit I skipped through quite a bit of it after about 3 minutes due to both a mild case of ADD and lack of interest in listening to him when I've listened to the video before... Also, though I do agree to an extent, I went to school for game and virtual world development and can think of a few reasons as to why that content is "on disc", the problem with saying "on disc" though is that almost all the content that will ever be in the game is technically "on disc" since all that is really on the discs is graphic, shader, and texture files since the game is server based. if you were to take away the server and just access what's on the disc you'd more than likely get the opening screen and a whole lot of pictures, some of which would look really weird, 3D models, a whole lot of sound files, and maybe a map file or two. The disc is just a client app- the real body of the software is on the server. All that said, if you'd like to discuss this in more detail then I implore you to make a "related topic" to do it on instead.
