also if there was like a group of AI hunters out patrolling the cosmodrone and when you got near them they'd start hunting a target and youd have to join the hunt and help them.

Agree entirely. There is a somewhat hollow feel to running around a planet (or moon) knowing there are 5 or 6 other player controlled guardians along for the ride, an endless supply of bad guys, and no other life forms whatsoever. Just having some neutral npc's around would make the game feel more like the guardians were fighting to protect or take back living worlds worth fighting for. Especially on Earth.
