I strongly agree with the notion of some failures in development such as lack of story and lack of content integration into gameplay, however I strongly object to your oversimplification and aversion to doing a little reading. The more complex a game is, the more is required to understand it. If you want more you have to work for it, or you can close your eyes and be satisfied letting off steam with basic "play" while more enthusiastic Guardians are putting in work.
But I understand that some people are readers, and some aren't. Some people solve problems as a matter of course, while others walk away and stay at the beginner stage. It's just annoying when people argue for their own ignorance and simultaneously complain about having to notice what people who practice being less ignorant achieve.
I didn't buy a game to leave the game and read a deck of pokemon cards online minus the pokemon, the attacks, the trading, or the awesome fun of making them battle each other. I'd rather read a deck of bland cards in-game than online away from the game.
Edit: As I've said a couple times now,... BUNGIE! MAKE IT A VOICEOVER FOR EACH CARD OR FOR MAJOR CARDS! IT WOULD BE WORTH CHECKING OUT!
