Cryptarch Package nerfed? Or just plain old back luck?
So, my Trollar-... Er, Cryptarch, is currently Level 34. As you all know (Or should, by this point), when you level up the Cryptarch past a certain level (5 or 6, I believe), you get a Cryptarch Package, which holds Blue and/or Legendary Engrams. The last time I actually got a Legendary was at level 21. That was 13 levels and 39000 reputation ago. So, did the Cryptarch Packages get a nerf to their Legendary chance, or is my luck just really, really bad?

Before the patch, every level i got, oh, i dunno, an actual legendary engram from the care package... Edit: i have received one purple engram... period, in the entire world, since the patch

1 回复definitely nerfed. The called "legendary" packages handing out rare engrams. we've trade one problem for another, before at least the legendary packages earned their title it was the cryptarch that was broken. Hopefully they'll fix this as fast as they fixed the cyrptarch

1 回复So when they changed the Engrams to make Legendaries guaranteed to give Legendaries and Blues give an increased chance to give a legendary they failed to mention that Legendary Engrams now drop half as frequently and appear half as often as a Cryptarch reward.

Okay, here's what's going on. You know All those legendary engrams you got before the patch that always turned blue? You still get them they are just blue instead of purple. You know the purple engrams that actually gave you purple items that no one ever got anyway? They stayed the same rate of dropping. So there you go. Cryptarch packages no longer give legendary engrams as much, because they all turned into blue items anyway. Another way to think of this, is that they just got rid of the buzz kill you get when a legendary turns blue.

8 回复由Hero We Need编辑： 10/20/2014 10:51:54 AMThey decreased the chances of finding a legendary engram to balance legendary engrams giving 100% legendaries. It's literally the same chances of getting a legendary as before, with less QQ of getting a rare item.

1 回复yep Bungie nerfed the shit out of him, been getting blues after the whole patch on him came out. kinda makes leveling up the guy and getting engrams a useless chore now

Bungie nerfed all avenues of receiving Legendary Engrams while not mentioning it in their patch notes and diluted the Legendary loot table with Ascendant Shards and Energies if you even get one. So yes, in addition to bad luck (went up 10 levels in the last 2 weeks, got 1 purple helmet for another class) Bungie also f-ed with the loot table without even telling anyone as if we wouldn't notice.
