It's the atrocious one.
I did have to change my weapons for PvE, but I used the starting weapons for crucible.
The whole time I only used my starting armor, because I read someones forum talking about how armor rating doesnt matter for PvE, so I tested it out for myself abd he was right.

I bought the armour you spoke of it seems to be a waste of scratch. Read that you have to buy it then it will improve after time. Is this true? I hit level 20 - my armour seems to lack in one area - have 0 besides the fist. Was wondering if you could look at my Hunter to see if I am on par or lacking. I used a level 14 gun rare gun for till I found a level 18 gun at level 20.
