This is a good point, but the shotty still deals too much damage from a distance. I have no problem getting one shot killed by one if they are right up on me but when they are 30 yards away and one shot me it is pretty frustrating. Especially because the crucibles are about 85% shotguns, 5% special attacks, 5% auto rifles, and 5% everything else. Map design is pretty lacking seeing that there are only two bigger open maps. (the moon and one of the mars maps)

30 yards is 90 feet....shotguns do not 1 shot from 90 feet. some shotguns do however have far more range than others, especialyl when aimed
