Honestly, i think the most awful piece of this event is how awful people are at a simple game of control. Its not that complicated: hold two zones and win. Why do people try to get all three and then just end up running into a big circle. Some of the most god awful strategies i've seen have been playing this event so far.
Very sad

Okay I am def not defending bungie but your post was pretty stupid. Its not domination. It is team deathmatch with a twist. Each team still gets points for kills like team deathmatch, but you get bonus points depending on how many zones you control. How have you not noticed that yet? Have you never looked at the points after kills this entire time since launch? You lost because your team sucked at slaying. You can win the game without ever controlling any of the zones(been proven) if you slay the crap out of the opposing team. You usually have to neutralize the zones they actually get though because their smaller amount of points from kills multiplies if they have zones.

Because you dont gain points for holding zones. Or you get minimal gains from it. Like defender kill bonus points. But just holding a zone doesn't constantly feed you tho. The team gets that strength of the wolf score bonus sometimes but thats it. Control tallies points earned by your team in a match. Capping a point gives eveyone in the zone points for the capture. And thats it. So if your team caps 2 zones with solo captures, and the other team just goes TDM and kills you guys, you lose. This very poorly explained in game tho

There are plenty of videos on YouTube chronicling how you can win a game of control while not capturing a single zone. It's still just death match with bonus points for holding zones. But if you're an effective killer I game, the zones don't matter because the other team is never gaining any points.
