Just found a work around on reddit, if you're with UPC, manually set up your ps4 Internet connect. Keep your usual settings except dns, set dns primary as 8.8.8.4 and secondary as 8.8.8.8 I've since logged in any everything is fine. This might also work with other isps but the reddit user had UPC and so do I. Hope that works :)

For me I couldn't even download games from the ps store. It would keep saying download failed. And yes cattle is an awful description of a problem. Bungies unwillingness to answer is also verging on the ridiculous. I'll keep my eye out for any solutions and post back. Hopefully this gets sorted for you soon. I know how frustrating it is to lose even a day of playtime, never mind a week!!

Strange thing is that I get the 'Press X to play' alert, I press X, it says 'connecting' for a couple of seconds, then it goes 'signing in' for a longer time and I get the cattle error .. so it seems like it is able to connect but can't authenticate or something .. strange issues
