Back a long time ago, gay people used to be burned like witches, but they weren't burned on stakes, because they used stakes only so the witches wouldn't escape the rosemary, instead, they used gays for fires, and threw them in the fires to let them die! Just as you would a bundle of sticks. That's where the word derives from.

You really are dense. People were burned at the stake who weren't gay or a witch. Besides, being set on fire would be better than being burned at the stake. Reasons: 1: being set on fire would destroy your nerves quickly and soon you wouldn't feel anything 2: being burned at the stake makes your blood boil and explode out your eyes Summary: being set on fire is better than being burned at the stake because you would lose feeling quicker and your blood wouldn't boil with the same degree of pain that it would while being burned at the stake.
