yes, the looting in this game is rough and it was necessary at times.

both, the drop rate for decent gear is just unbearable, but it did also take advantage of systems and ideas that were set in place.

    I just think the time spent farming the cave would be better spent farming for your vanguard or crucible ranking. Here's why: For the cave I get some purple drops over time. When I turn those in they MIGHT actually be purple...and if they are they MIGHT actually be for my class. If I do the bounties, public events, and strikes, I get my vanguard rank up and can then buy exactly what purple armor I want. Just my thoughts :)
