okay, think. level 26 to do the raid. it's been suggested, and rightly so, that the raid will get you close to level 30. you can get to level 26/27 with a couple legendaries or a single legendary and an exotic piece of armor, which is 13 Strange Coins.
it doesn't really seem that much of a problem.

What do you mean it doesn't matter? Sure, you can easily get a full set of Legendaries/Exotic in considerably less time. But some people might actually want to get a full faction set of armor. Plus it takes about two weeks just to be able to buy both Vanguard and Faction items much less three to include Crucible. (Due to insufficient reputation)

you don't need Crucible reputation (unless you're going for Crucible armor, I don't really consider that a faction but meh) if you're going for a full set of Legendary armor. just marks. of course, marks have a cap, which I think should be made higher, but it's not impossible, nor does it take too long. two weeks to get a full set of Legendary armor may seem daunting, but it's no different from any other good progression game.
