Nicki Minaj And The Teens That Listen To Her
So Nicki Minaj's new song "Anaconda" is very popular right now. Hitting over 100,000,000 views on YouTube and making it in the charts. And I think it's absolutely disgusting!
A major listener of chart topping/mainstream music these days is teenagers, and some even younger. When Nicki Minaj is "singing" lyrics like:

Children and teenagers are listening this sh*t, being exposed to it! I think it's disgusting, she knows that youngsters are a major listener of music, yet she goes and makes songs about dope dealers and cocaine. And we wonder what's wrong with youngsters this days. It's because of pathetic, glammed up "superstars" like her!

1 回复Im a teenager and i hate that genre entirely. Pop and rap is disgusting due to all its constant drug and offensive references. True rock like a7x should learn to be appreciated. Its so much better than this "gangsta" crap we have to hear everywhere we go. And then we wonder why we have kids hanging their pants below their knees. At least the music i listen to actually has a life morale that isnt smoke, drink, bang, repeat.

1 回复Movies do not make people kill people. Video games do not make people violent. Video games do not make gamers hate women. Rock music doesn't make kids disobey authority and hurt people. Her music doesn't people do drugs and have sex.

This is why I listen to the classical stations. Not classic rock, but classical music. I don't like rock, since I don't appreciate people screaming at me. Neither do I like pop songs, since they have a 97% chance of making anybody with half a brain lose said brain.

And of course, don't forget the constant glamorization of gang banging and drug dealing. Jesus. If these kids had ever lived through any of that they wouldn't be listening to that shit let me tell you. Go to school, get a career. Do something with your life and make your parents proud of you. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

You see this is why I listen to bands like Three Days Grace. First of all... They actually sound good, second, even though some of their songs (especially in album One-X) talk about some drugs, they talk about getting over them and portraying them as evil and a mistake. I hate pop music cuz its all about drugs and sex.
