Also Blizzard's servers, league of legends, and path of exile have been DDOSed as well.
Hacker group Lizard Squad claims responsibility, also calls in bomb threat to airplane of President of Sony Online Entertainment John Smedley.
American Airlines responded by diverting his flight.
Lizard Squad also claimed it will target Bungie's Destiny servers next month.

FamedGod has also claimed responsibility for the server attacks.

1 回复All hail lizard squad in not succeeding in their agenda of who gives a shit, nobody cares, and thanks for wasting the consumers money by bringing down services they pay for.

5 回复Sure a ddos attack is a considered hacking but, I guess a large number of users on facebook holding F5 at the same time coincidentally are also hackers

由Pay Twice编辑: 8/26/2014 12:03:10 AMPlaystation fans don't realize that this attack helps them. Sony's greed was what caused them to actually get hacked in 2011. Maybe now after being infiltrated multiple times they'll stop being stubborn and realize that they actually need to invest some money into their online security.

10 回复Turns out if was someone named FamedGod. He even grabbed lizard squads ip for taking credit. He said he was the one that did it before, and he did because Sony needs to stop being greedy. It's annoying but they really do need better security or more servers

5 回复I like how they got Blizzard Servers down, but immediately they were back up because Blizzard aint having none of this shit. Also, blow me XD. You won't get xbox down since the piece of shit is pretty much offline half the time by itself because it's just terrible!

由Darrus Ralier编辑: 8/25/2014 6:39:02 PMI am banning together a group to stand against LIzard Squad on Bungie. I actually work at schools as a techinical director and these punks decided to install their apps on one of the local school servers. Fortunately,I was able to kill their virus on the school servers that was also killing Sony. One down,100 more to go all around the country. :( Please, fellow gamers,Xbox or PS. Old gen or new gen. Young or old, join me to help fight back against these hackers and show them what for!

由Reign of Bane编辑: 8/25/2014 1:48:07 PMYou could somewhat understand how they hacked PSN the first time as the on-line service was free, you could understand it but at the same time not defend the lacklustre security of Sony. While others seem to learn from their mistakes, Sony do not and now gamers are paying for the privilege to play on PSN this is unforgivable. I play on XBL and PSN, though I have not really played as much on the PSN since the previous attack as my confidence in Sony was affected profoundly by this. Security is a big thing to me, this latest turn of events is most disheartening. I am getting an Xbox One first and I was considering getting a PS4 at some point as I am a multi platform kind of guy. I hope Sony can sort this out for those gamers affected now and to renew confidence as there are a few PS games I was looking forward to playing in the future. Hacking can be good if done in house to check for loopholes in security, this kind of hacking just ruins the gamers experience but these dickheads need to be caught and punished accordingly.

2 回复All these hackers are doing is giving MS, Sony, and the other places that were hit unnecessary stress and more motivation for better security.
-
5 回复These people should use their skills to hunt down murderers, rapists and paedophiles on the Internet, not hacking console servers.

8 回复The FBI and National Security are after him. He'll be in some deep trouble before then. Dunno what'll happen though because he's only like 17 I think.
