>PR Bullshittery
No matter how they spin it, it's a scummy move for all gamers. Not just those missing out on a game for a few months. Timed exclusive DLC was pathetic enough, but now it's timed exclusive video games.
If they wanted their own uncharted, then they should make it themselves not simply snipe a similar multiplatform game and claim it as 'exclusive'.

Honestly, yes. I loathe all this longwinded horsecrap that passes for PR. Microsoft did a scummy move, pissed a lot of people off once again and now let their pet gollum spin a bunch of shite to try and soothe annoyed fans. I don't give two shits about tomb raider, I just don't want to see this sort of shitty business practice become the norm like microtransactions. It means that the big dogs don't have to do any work other than use their profits to bribe smaller dogs into 'exclusivity' deals. If it's happened with Indie games - No Man's Sky, if it's happening with AAA - Tomb Raider and Bloodborne, how long until it starts affecting blockbusters? CoD? (Don't care on this one) Battlefield? Fallout? Elder Scrolls? It's scummy and it should be abandoned like Online Passes.

Yes, that was one of my points. It's from a franchise/series/setting that was originally Playstation exclusive, then went multiplat and is now going back to the PS exclusively. It's not as bad as the ROTT exclusivity deal, but barely any better. To bullshit scale them, Bloodborne going exclusive is about a 7/10 and ROTT is maybe an 8/10. I can't say that I know as much about Bloodborne as ROTT going 'exclusive' but if the circumstances are similar then the result is similar. It's bullshit.

Timed exclusivity of a game? Or releasing it on another platform later on? I know the two sound the same but there is a minor difference, like with Ryse. If they release a new IP exclusively then that's one thing, but I can't think of any similar examples barring bloodborne (Which is equally stupid to make it exclusive.) Things like Halo or Uncharted have always been an Xbox or a Playstation series so it's expected to be exclusive but with an existing franchise to snipe the new instalment like this... it's pathetic.
