Besides that, you can't say what system is "better" because that term is subject to what the person who is buying it wants. For online service, Xbox is the way to go. For shear power, the play station is best. For family fun, the Wii U is the best choice. Think before you speak

It's simply servers that hold the players in a game. No different on xbox1 or ps4

Microsoft has servers that are dedicated solely to the Live network. Sony does as well but there are less and a number of the servers they do have are contracted from other companies who operate for reasons other than online gaming. Per game, the established connection between players is slightly better than on play station, due to higher bandwidth cables. Besides that, the security network at Microsoft is ahead of Sony's. I don't know if you remember but it was pretty big news awhile back that the PSN network was hacked, which meant that not only was it down completely (keeping players from any online matchmaking or transactions) but the credit card information for millions of players world wide was compromised. While most people were unaffected in North America there were hundreds of people that were victim to identify theft and went thousands of dollars into debt. So yes, Xbox live is a better online network. However that speaks nothing of the community, as an Xbox user I can say with certainty that the PlayStation community is more mature and generally less aggressive and annoying (probably because every overly privileged eight year old wants an xbox instead of a play station.)

Better is a subjective term. In terms of the base tech, yeah, PS4 is better. But the XboxOne must have something worthwhile going on, or no one would be buying it.
