Mass effect 1: story was awesome, characters had depth, felt like the things I did really mattered. Had terrible gameplay. Mass effect 2: all the positives of the first game plus better gameplay and better DLC that added many more hours of gameplay. Mass effect 3. Everything the second and first game had with great gameplay and good DLC with a gripping story all the way up until that ending that marauder shields tried to save us from. The extended cut DLC made it a lot less shitty for me personally. However my favorite has to be mass effect 2 because of how I genuinely enjoy beating it on insanity. Getting that perfect ending after all the crap deaths via those collectors that used shockwave over and over again. So satisfying.

The story got steadily more ridiculous over time.

1..can't replicate that feeling after I beat it and the credits started to roll. Also planetary exploration was cool, even though it was nearly the same few presets of maps generated each time. Beat the hell out of anal probing planets for minerals.

ME1 should have all the vote... There is only <15yo or people that only played a few bronze run in ME3 multiplayer in this thread lel.

1 What can I say it was the begging of something beautiful, and a game I will never tire of. 2 was great I liked the aspect of gaining loyalty it added a certain touch to the game, and made you work for a good ending. 3 It was amazing and made me cry. nuff said 4 I'll miss Shepard I'm sure we all will, and I can't wait for its release.

ME1 had the best adventure feel now that i look back at it however the gameplay was such garbage i wanted to finish the game ASAP when i first started so i basically played the game very linearly. I have come to appreciate it now and want to go back and play through in-depth. ME2 had the best story. The gameplay was incredibly improved and much better than the first as well but what [i]really[/i] got me was the entire mystery around everything. It was brilliant. However being able to go to a planet, land, and explore was basically impossible. Everything had a mission and a purpose. Other than that everything was better without a doubt. ME3 had the best gameplay. At first it felt way too cod-like but eventually i or used to it. Everything was fluid and you could do many more things without having to stop and stop and stop, it just felt less clunky. The biggest disappointment was easily the hype revolving around Earth's invasion. It also mixed side-quests with story missions which I hated so much and to add insult to injury the explore feel was abolished. Whatever exploration the ME series had before, it was all killed by ME3. I feel like they traded exploration for multiplayer. I'm not saying it was the wrong choice but i wish we could have both. All in all ME2 was my favorite with ME3 a close-second.
