I mainly agree with the Second idea. Having more emotes and mapping them to whichever direction you choose isn't a bad idea. But as for the first one, I don't think there's an easy way to make machinimas. I don't think there's a theatre mode of any sorts. Plus it's pretty useless for those not making machinimas because it puts a small barrier between you and your gun, especially if you get jumped by Fallen soldiers. As for the salute, that's just the Exo wave. Each race gets a specific way of waving and dancing. Exo is a salute to a fist, Awoken is a bow, and Human is a dopey wave. However, it would be cool to have a salute emote, which could work nicely with button mapping idea.
