Recently turned 50 and my doctors were strongly recommending that I have one performed. It's a medical procedure where a long probe with a camera on the tip in inserted and your large intestine is examined from end to end. Photos are taken, if something odd is spotted a biopsy is taken, and you get to watch the whole procedure on a monitor. Certainly not the most dignified or romantic thing imaginable, but it was educational and an interesting experience. The pics are kinda boring (who cares what a polyp looks like?) but many of us (sooner or later) will have one performed.
