So...i was thinking about how every world will only have one playable area.......and then i remembered the behind closed doors e3 demo from 2013...
Take a look (2:20)
What do you think? Will they stick with this (even though it wasnt available during the beta) or have they abandoned it?

9 回复I'm not to bothered about the size of the worlds, I played in Old Russia for ages and I still didn't get bored even with the level cap at only 8, I could of played the beta for months, quite happily, I just like playing Destiny, not for empty promises of big explorable worlds, but for what It is!👍

10 回复I thought old Russia from beta was all the playable world available didn't know it was bigger. I was really sad about this game to the point of thinking about not buying it.

3 回复由abrn170编辑: 8/20/2014 9:49:33 AMYes its bigger. In Old Russia we still have Kings Watch, Blind Steppes, Graveyard and the Gateway areas that were blocked off in Beta.
-
9 回复I'm thinking yes, cause there was a lot of areas that had ?? or ??? Creatures blocking the entrance to these areas.
-
1 回复The areas aren't that big and they aren't going to be bigger than we expected. I hate to Mr. Raincloud but it's become quite clear after the beta exploration isn't really a big part of this game.

由Hirsty编辑: 8/20/2014 9:54:28 AMNo, don't get carried away. Listen to what he says. *we hope that one day we can send you to* The phrase of note here is 'one day'. That is not release date, or in the DLC, as he 'hopes' this. He would have said 'we will send you too', not hope. Yes the playable space will be eventually... expanded upon. But not at launch or in the 2 DLC's. I can guarantee that.
I love destiny and it is large enough in my opinion.
2 回复Though we may not be able to explore that area exactly, we will be able to explore King's Watch and the Jovian Complex on Earth along with all of the locked doors in Hellmouth on the Moon. So though we may still have Old Russia for right now, we're going to have a bigger Old Russia
-
5 回复I think the problem is is that people are forgetting the fact that Bungie didnt give us the entirety of Old Russia or the Moon to explore. Not only were some areas blocked off, like King's Watch, in Old Russia but some areas werent even in the beta or alpha for a chance to explore in the game like the dead ends behind the Hive Shrieker on Earth and the two OP knights on the moon. This game is going to be huge. People need to stop worrying.

i In the video at around 2-3 minutes in he turns around and shows you "older" Russia. Which he said we will one day hope to send you to. And that was in 2013! I have a good feeling that they severely limited us in one mid-size part of old Russia for testing and player feedback for just that one area. Old Russia in Beta size was big, but not even close to more or less the size of Halo: Reach. The full release on 9/9 my guess would come on 2-4 discs, how many depends on the console. You better have a large, open hard drive to install it to. Destiny is going to be a lot bigger than opinions from the Beta! A lot was just blocked off by invisible walls of death.

I think it's going to be quite large....but if I was content playing the beta for as long as u did. I'm sure any addition will make me happy. But on a side note....did anybody else notice the guy in the trailer was a warlock but used a knife for his melee?

由Tyr-Thanatos编辑: 8/19/2014 9:54:26 PMQuestion: Have you found it difficult to get across to people that these small number of locations go really deep? Jonty: Yeah, I mean, when people think of it as being four things, it’s really hard for them to understand the real estate that is there and the complexity of all the different spaces that you can visit. Then, when you add it to another layer, which is that you may be going back to places that are familiar to you, but there’s going to be completely different activities for you to participate in. So you’ll be getting a very different experience even though you get some familiarity. We actually like that property, because we want people to be able to navigate and go through things. So yeah, it’s definitely been very interesting… source: http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2014/08/19/interview-bungies-jonty-barnes-on-destinys-locations-multiplayer-and-beta-testing/ I think its bigger than what people actually think there is

Yeah there are boundaries now for "old russia" but just like he said that is all playable space, as in potential space that they, as he said again, hope to utilize some day. So maybe in expansions, maybe not the first two planned but maybe after? I'm just saying, this game is going to just keep growing like an mmo, new areas will be unlocked, and people who have played from day one will enjoy it every step of the way.
-
The playable space is bigger and more intricate than the beta would have led you to believe if you weren't paying close attention....or you only did the story mission. But ALL playable spaces have boundaries....and it is unreasonable not to expect there to be any.
-
7 回复You ppl really think they showed off everything in the beta? My god, ppl are either stupid, or this was your first beta
-
3 回复The keywords in that video were "playable space.... That we hope to one day send you to." But again, who knows. We will find out in time.
