Thoughts on Star Wars Battlefront
I'm super excited to play Star Wars Battlefront. Idk if it's the third one or a reboot. But anyways I thought the 1st and 2nd were great and still play them every once in a while on my ps2. What are your thoughts about it?

1 回复I wonder if they're going to scrap campaign mode entirely. I have a strong feeling that they will because it was never battlefront's main component.

2 回复The more I think about it, the less and less faith I have in Dice of doing the game justice. Dice's skills lie in realism, something that should stay as far away from Star Wars as possible. Battlefront was fun because of its arcade-y feel. It wasn't overly complex, you could just pick it up and have fun. Battlefield is more of a game where it takes time before you can really understand how the game works, like bullet drop and flying. Not to mention Battlefields terrible vehicle physics, and complex flying mechanics in terms of space battle will really kill the game for me.

3 回复I hope it will be good. Growing up, this game series was my first shooter and I loved every moment of it. I was such a try hard in that game at such a young age.

Typical fragile gamer butthurt on this thread... DICE will come through with flying colors. They F'd up rushing a game that is 10X more ambitious and complex than Density to release with current-gen consoles. I am pretty sure Andrew Wilson almost fired Karl Magnus over the cockup, but he also recognized that DICE is the only studio with the passion and the talent to take Battlefront to the next level. Disney recognized this too and that is why EA has the Star Wars license. I would guess that the upfront licensing fee cost EA 9 figures in addition to ongoing royalties. If DICE screws this up, EA will sink. That will not happen.

Loved the series on Xbox and I honestly can't wait for the next instalment, it's been way too long! I still play it on steam occasionally but it's not quite the same as Xbox. What I've seen so far looks amazing, a true reboot is exactly what this series needed and I can't wait.

Not sure what to think of yet since it's DICE. Hopefully it does well, I'd love to see a Tie fighter/X-Wing reboot alongside RC 2 (that game doesn't need a reboot) and either 1313 brought back to life or a re-imagining of Bounty Hunter
