Hmm. As much as I am for girls gaming I do object to 'girl only' clans.
If a male was to put up such a post with wording like 'clan for us boys only', 'no hassle from those bloody girls' I know for a fact that such a thread would be subjected to assault from girl gamers...
Not all guys are Internet pervs. Some of us have lives, families and careers. It's a little insulting to be lumped in with the game fappers just because of my gender.
Good luck with recruiting but just let it be known there is such thing as respectable mixed gaming clans.

I understand where your coming from and yes I know that there are some respectable men out there who has a family does the 9-5 job and has a good heart. But you only find those in 5% or10% In games. 89% times it's guys who thinks woman rights still doesn't exist and say things "go back to the kitchen or other ridiculous stuff" Speaking For me I had enough of that and I was tired of being abused online just because I'm a girl. So enough was enough and I made a escape zone for us females who are harassed by aholes online because let's face it. If the 89% video game community males were like you respectable and well mannered then there there would be no need for this. But let's face it that 89% are not like you and some needs a reality check. Sad really because those 89% is what make the guy image look bad in gaming.

Were did you pull that number out of. I had my 100 friends on xbox and never had a problem with girl gamers or guys that were my friends list. Its the games you play. If you play cod all the guys are f**king dumb that hit on girls the sec one jumps in. Play a more respectful game and you will find better ppl. Other note. guys love the idea for a gamer girlfriend. I should know my wife is a gamer. And then the rude guys. There rude to every one so dont get a special butt hurt over that person. And I know I said im leaving this post but dang its so hard not to reply to this gold mine.

Gender isn't the issue. There are plenty of women who will try to ruin your experience. The problem is population. In general the greater population of people consists of dumber and more narrow minded assholes. By openly recruiting you are still at risk of poor treatment, just a different voice on the other side will be saying those mean things. Your clan can be better by simply choosing friends over randoms. Not saying you can't do a girl only group or that it will fail, but it won't hold a candle to a group that consists of friends without restrictions.(Not saying it won't be a good group either) Say you get gal to join who plays mostly with guys. Her friend's list consists entirely of descent people. Would you deny good people just because of what is between their legs?

Trust me on that. When I played WoW a few years back. I used to roll a few female toons. Usually I wouldn't hide the fact I was a bloke (man). However one day I did pretend to be a woman gamer (if someone asked for my ASL I'd say 21/F/US) just to see if I got treated any differently... I did, if it wasn't male players 'rushing to my rescue' when mobbed by adds in Blackrock Depths (even though I played as a L65 Protection specced Paladin with T7 gear) or told to piss off and make sandwiches. So I know and hate those kind of gamers. However I did have other male gamers who were gentlemanly and some of them scolded the pricks who were abusive. Here's an idea. Go ahead with your all female guild. But six months down the line start to invite male gamers. Nothing funny just "we're now open to male gamers who are man enough to play maturely with us ladies." You may get a few twats who give you some grief but you will definitely also get gamers who just want to play Destiny with like minded gamers regardless of gender. I call it 'weeding the shit'. Whatever you decide I wish you the best of luck :)

Thank you I will consider that :) Yea at least you felt how it was. Idk some people need to take a class in how to treat women right in video games. But very rare I find a respectable guy and when I do have a grown up conversation and we laugh and have fun. 99% of the time I add them as a friend since I'm like "ok you passed my test we can be friends".

What if I treat girls that I play games with the same as I treat the guys? I try not to be super kind to them but I'm never hitting on them. I joke with them and laugh at them if something happens in game. They can even make a joke at my expense. I don't care, I just want to play games, yah know?

Cool...sadly I know of two girls that hate me online because I makes jokes toward them or mess with them in a game. Apparently they want guys to hold their hand in a game like GTA. If I laugh because they died in battle block theater, they leave the game. The only reason I play with those two girls is because my cousin is their friend online and he just eats up their girly presence.
