Smoking a pack a day now. Tried to quit cold turkey and almost Hulk smashed the universe. Tried the e-cig thing and the same thing happened. What's the Flood have to say?
Day 1: Two cigs in five hours. Better than usual. It's been a good day thus far.
Day 1 part 2: Eliminated half a pack today. The cravings are strong in this one. Thanks for the support, Flood. I'll keep the updates coming.
Day 2: Work was a bitch, but only three thus far. When I finish the pack I got yesterday, I'm going to buy a pack after my second job and toss them out the window and laugh.

Day 4 (?): Can't math tonight, but I'm down to 6 cigs each day for the past two days. I've been smoking half a cig at a time, then either tossing it at half, or snuffing it out for later. Tossing $7.50 out of the window wasn't fun, but I've been doing it for years now by buying these damned things.

Hire a prostitute to follow you around and give you a blowjob when you don't smoke at times you would normally smoke. Alternatively you could hire someone to follow you around and punch your nuts when you do smoke. Good luck.

1 回复Actually, it took me getting my wisdom teeth out at 21 to quit smoking a pack a day. I was so afraid of getting dry sockets that I quit cold turkey. Also I was inebriated for three days on loratabs, so that helped with the withdrawl.

2 回复Get a piece of paper and roll it up. Suck or smoke on that. Worked for my grandmother. Alternatively do it with a $5 bill and if you go through the whole day without smoking, buy yourself a treat. Nothing beats psychological conditioning

5 回复Here's what I do when I ever think about smoking. I imagine my lungs as air filters and the smoke is making my air filters look like the dust pans in dryers. Then I think about the damage it causes to your teeth and how yellow they will get. And when that fails I think about how my grandparents and how they got cancer and still continued to smoke and shorten their already shrunken life span they have. Point is what do you value more? Your health or your cigs? I don't smoke but I always use the people who do and have suffered from it to help remind me of what tobacco really does to your body. If I were you I would lock yourself in a friends house and have him watch you for a while and make sure you don't smoke.

3 回复Hmmm. First, figure out what stimulates you to smoke. Is it by how you hold the cigarette, the taste, when you puff the smoke out? Once you figure out what is the causation to smoke, be creative on how to counter it. Just some ideas.

1 回复1. Every time you have the urge to smoke, think about what it does to your lungs and body. Think about how your kids would react if they found out you had lung cancer at 60. 2. Start putting a lot of money into a retirement plan. This way you'll only have enough money to pay bills and eat, so you won't have money to buy cigarettes.
