I'd like to wait and see how you like the Warlock class items in the final game. Some of them are outlandish.
As a Warlock, myself, I love the arm bands. They're dignified. I didn't join this noble order for bling. That's how Hunters roll.
That said, the debate about the art is awesome, so let it roll. Keep telling us what you think.

Even as a titan, I can say warlock armbands suck. You can tell how good a titan or hunter is by how close their cloths are to the ground. It's hard to tell on a warlock's arm band when all they are is a bunch of recolors.

Yes, they are a bit more lack luster than the other flashier Titan and Hunter items, but personally I like them. With that being said, I think it would be awesome to add some magical effects to them that help accentuate the idea that they are the bond between the warlock and his magical knowledge. Something as simple as having ripples of magic emanating from the bond would make a world of difference to me.

I don't know if you considered this at Bungie. Being the masters you are I doubt this was overlooked, but whoever it was on your staff that already had this idea I'm about to mention I'm in full agreement with him (or her). I'm fine with the idea of the armband for the Warlock if that's all you decide to roll with Deej. But since the Warlock has the ability to manipulate the void, have you and the developers considered the option of the Warlock "fine tuning" the "visuals" of his abilities? Example: A warlock can lay waste with the Nova Bomb. But since the Titan and Hunters have the ability to express their individuality through their cool hoods and garments other than just the arm band.... why not let the warlock class add and adjust the colors of or add multiple effects of their super since the armband is all the are allowed. Choices: Nova Bomb effect selections allowable from 3 categories to be tacked onto the visual effects by the players choice. Category 1: Color Tint. A palette of colors a player can pick from that determines the hue and color of the Nova Bomb (the bomb as an example). Category 2: Super After Effect. Choices of a burned smoking ring in the area affected. A displacement of wind and debris exploding outwards from the impact area. A displacement of wind and debris gravitationally pulled towards the impact area. A displacement of gravitational distortion that makes debris and rocks float temporarily in the area of impact anti gravity style (not affecting players or enemies of course). And a palette of colors to choose from that will tint the dome of that area of effect. Category 3: Dead targets fade aura. You already have this in the game. You could tweek it so the Warlock decides how enemies look when dispersed upon death. A choice of their bodies being blown away into black ashes. A choice of enemies being dispersed as blue particles, or purple, or red, or even a choice of having their physical bodies stay, but the "floating up and away" transparency from the body indicating it's life force being removed. In other words leave the body, and watch the outlined life force be withdrawn from it. Btw. I'm always looking for work. ;o) I've been waiting 30 years for a game like this. Hit me up.

I think something that might look good and still fit the aesthetic profile, is a gauntlet on the same arm in addition to the armband. Maybe have the gauntlet have a smaller version of whatever symbol is on the armband on the back of the hand. It wouldn't have to be outlandishly huge, maybe just a simple elegant looking gauntlet that only went halfway up the forearm to compliment the existing bond.

由Nicholas L编辑: 7/30/2014 11:45:29 AMWhile yes the hunter is very stylish with there awesome cloaks and hoods, i do believe that the armbands could be tweaked or even outright changed due to them being moderately acceptable at the higher levels. The warlocks are supposed to be the mages, or the main damage dealers in Destiny. In more MMO set games mages are very distinct with their robes and hoods. While no I do not think the warlock should get a hood in my opinion a shoulder cloak would be an amazing class item. And maybe it could be possible to combine the armband with this shoulder cloak idea? I'm not sure what can be done after all Bungie is the developer behind this highly anticipated game not me. So what is to happen with this decision is up to you Bungie.

Same here, I'm really hoping arm bands are going to be a bid different and more noticeable. The legendary one that we got from the Iron Banner was a big let down tough. My friends only noticed a change after I told em to check out my character closely . It doesn't really live up to the idea that people can immediately see what you've been trough to and where you came from to earn that gear. I really hope they change it. Big thumbs up for the sleeve tough! I'd love that. Also, thank you bungie for being so involved with the community. You're doing a great job!

I would like to see an Arm band what is over the Shoulder too! Like a spezial Armor Arm Band for my Throwing hand! That my Nova Bombs are getting throwed with Style! Just make it a little bit bigger! Or not only an Band more variaty in the Form how it looks!

The problem is not that they don't look cool. In fact the shiny ones we saw so far look great. The problem is, that nobody sees it unless they run up to you and look at it intentionally while you can see the Hunter cape and the Titan thing from a mile away. It's a way to show what you accomplished, so it not being really visible isn't ideal to say the least. Why not do something with the trench coat of the Warlock? It's the "trademark" already anyway.
