Opinions on Pulse Rifles
So I played the alpha at a friends, and I tried out the pulse rifle, but I couldn't handle the recoil. It felt like every shot threw my aim way off, so I stopped immediately, and used a scout rifle. But after going back and watching gameplay of the pulse rifles, it doesn't look all that bad. I wanted to use them just cause I'm used to the battle rifle, and I'm not sure if I will, but what are y'all's opinions on the pulse rifle? How does it compare to other primary weapons? How does it compare to the scout rifle and hand cannon?
TLDR what do you think of the pulse rifles in destiny?

1 回复I use a couple different pulse rifles the strangers rifle fully upgraded is awesome pvp and the Strange Suspect Legendary is really nice too

1 回复I have always loved burst guns for what they are but unfortunately for some reason, when I'm trying to aim and pull the trigger over and over to shoot my accuracy goes all over the place. Most of the time anyways as it also is very dependant on the guns trigger time. So with that being said, when my shot is in the pulse rifles still suck complete balls on pvp. They are so ridiculously weak. . If you get into a close up battle then almost every other gun in the game will kill you before you get to blip a second burst. It's very bad. And while one might argue that what secondaries are for, then I would say that all the other guns are good for up close except the pulse rifle. . It's it'sone true ffatal flaw but wait..... It's super weak at distance too!

1 回复Yea, back in the beta, i did notice that pulse rifles had to much recoil and not enough damage. i think they just need less recoil and more damage, as well as maybe a little less range and a tiny bit more rate of fire, this way they excel at medium-long range combat.

1 回复Felt exactly the same way, too much recoil, and also not enough damage, or maybe that's poor accuracy due to the recoil. But compared to scout and auto they felt vastly inferior to me. For me during the alpha it was scout>auto>>pulse.

2 回复I liked the Pulse rifle more then scout...even though you do more DMG with it im not a big fan of single shot

1 回复Thats almost the same way I felt but reversed. I handled the pulse rifles well but the scout rifle just didnt do it for me. After seeing more gameplay, I think im gonna give it another shot tomorrow.

1 回复The pulse rifle is my go to primary. I find it more versatile than an auto rifle or a scout rifle. I can hold my own in close and long range encounters with a pulse rifle and obviously middle range where the gun really excels.

1 回复If you used a very low lvl pulse rifle or a starter one of some kind it's probe not gonna be up to your standards of what it should feel like. In halo every battle rifle u picked up felt the same and shot the same. In destiny you will continue to pick up pulse rifles throughout your journey and no two will feel the same. Give them a second chance, it was an alpha after all. Pardon their dust!

4 回复I loved the one I had. The scope was perfect. The recoil I dealt with by timing my shots. It jerked up but felt like it came right back down to the same spot after..not sure if that's what was happening or if I was using a reflex without realizing it . So timing my shots let me nail head shots often. I also used it quite a bit in the crucible I switched off on that and an AR often. In pve the one I had was weak.so during boss fights and mini bosses I switched up often to the AR.

2 回复I liked the one I had quite a bit, a good balance and I did not notice a huge amount of recoil. Honestly I think its a good mix between scout and assault.

2 回复Pulse rifles need a boost! They don't have enough rate of fire or damage plus recoil sucks. I like the feel and it seems to fit well with my hunter class but it just sucks

4 回复I really like the way they feel, but I think they need a buff in the damage per bullet department.
