If you're really good at writing (Can write dialogue and develop characters) I have a TON of ideas I can give you. I'm always coming up with legit ideas for scifi short stories but I'm not very good at actually writing them.

A lone man, genetically engineered for longevity and cared for by nano machines, is the last human in existence after an alien race destroys humanity. Along with his AI, he labors for decades on a lonely scientific outpost on a icy earth like planet 70LYs from earth. After making himself immortal, he develops replicating machines and begins the long process of bringing humanity back from the dead as a genetically perfect race.

Humanity is consumed by virtual reality. Humans are immortal, and 99% of the human race is constantly immersed in a global virtual world while their bodies are hooked up to life support. The real world is run by a few humans and legions of robots Tasked with maintaining the life support systems and upgrading said systems with innovations produced in virtual reality. The virtual world humans live in mimics the real world and is a global social democracy. There are sub virtual worlds within the virtual world in which humans may live out their wildest fantasies.
