I'm curious to find out what the general consensus is regarding proximity chat in Destiny. Is it something you'd like to see in the game?

2 回复Although I'm in favor I doubt they will. it's probably a lot of red tape to go through including a ratings change

If they just turn off the party rule out in the open and in the tower. Make the invite faster. We could all talk. Have bigger parties? I would like them to add text. For communicating with your entire clan/friends. That's only if they have some sort of clan/friend list in the game. We need to communicate!

all the people complaining need to know one thing press the proximity off switch and you wont have to deal with it. but for people like me ill get to meet new people and join them if what there doing sounds good. also why isnt there a player to player trade system yet i got gear i will never use and would like to trade it for other stuff.

If this is to truly be a shared world shooter that's supposed to be social... Proximity chat is a necessity, people need to be able to communicate without feeling tethered to people you don't know and may not want to go down the same path.

Depends on the styke you are refering to. Do you mean the one that would be best in pvp? (Where you die and hear you opponent or kill someone and hear them for a short time) or Do you mean, one where someone is within a close proximity of you and you can hear them speak, as you woukd irl??

1 回复Omg NO! I don't want to be peacefully walking through a field on earth and all the sudden hear a 9 year old dissing some ones mom

1 回复I don't care personally, I'll be in party chat away from the general "I did x to your mom".

4 回复Only if it had an option to accept chat, paired with the ability to turn it back off or remove a user.

I would say proximity chat, but really I would like to see a more streamlined way to be able to chat with someone else. Like, you press 1 or 2 buttons to send an invite to someone, they get the option to accept or deny, and that'll be it. It does kind of throw me off when I don't hear anyone in a crowded Tower.
