No chance, not even close. Consider this: Destiny is an entirely new IP. Its fanbase is focused towards this site. To say it has a huge following is fair game, but to say it could be the best selling title in history? That's ludicrous. Consider the following: Call of Duty has one of the largest fanbases on the planet. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was the biggest-selling CoD to date, releasing on PS3, Xbox 360 AND PC. How many copies did it sell? Less than 29 million. To beat Tetris, those sales would have had to been FIVE TIMES greater to come close. There just isn't any way that Destiny will outsell a sequel to a hugely supported, well-known, and well-grounded game series. Sorry.

Too early to tell, but what game holds that title now? What game does it have to dethrone? Just went and googled it. 1 Tetris 143 million copies 2 wii Sport 82 million 3 Minecraft 49.5 million 4 Super Mario Bros 40 million Nintendo is still king.

As a destiny fan I doubt it. Im pretty sure new IP's never sell amazingly well as the sequels like look at Halo CE's sales compared to Halo 3's.

No, they probably won't. I believe the game is too niche, maybe once it becomes more popular outside of these forums on Destiny 2 or 3, but I still don't think so.
