It's weird right? This game comes out I'm about 4 months and no one has seen any outstanding advertisements! $500 million was in the budget for destiny. Just in comparison, marvel's "the avengers" budget was about 220 million. James Cameron's, "avatar" budget was around 230 million (according to published reports). There was literally more money put into destiny than the avengers and avatar combined! Think about that! So the question comes up, where is the advertising everyone said was going to make up the majority of that massive $$$$. Either Bungie is waiting for something really massive, or maybe everyone overestimated how much of the budget was intended for advertising and marketing... Now that's so exciting, it's almost scary.

No one has ever done that with any series. Was there a combined budget for all three iron man movies? No, they did the budget one at a time for each individual movie. Not to mention they are making four of these games. Grand theft auto 5 was about half that cost and they are not making another game. Also take into account that each planet/moon location is the size of the ENTIRE game of halo reach ( that is confirmed by the way ). There is no way that the budget is going to be spread over these four separate games.

Well i think it's the kind of game where they can release bits and pieces of advertisements with their updates and then the community is just gonna spread it and make it bigger. the game costs a shit load so it would be fair to say that they prefer to use the money one the actual game than on outstanding advertisements. The community is doing half of their job of advertisement and of getting more and more people hipped for the game :P .
