I think this account is the epitome of a gimmick poster. Identifies as a cetacean Posts with whale puns Has a signature response regarding new members, "Whalecome Aboard." And that just [i]cuviers[/i] some of the ones you listed.

You can interact here without doing any of that stuff, should you want to still make name for yourself. The people who rely on gimmicks, instead of substance, usually fade away eventually anyway. That's not to say the people who use gimmicks lack substance, just that the sole use of gimmicks won't get what you're probably looking for when you come here.

Whatever happened to the Flood's happy hour (I believe that was what it was called). I know the ninjas banned those threads in B.old because they had no specific purpose, but now that those types of threads are allowed, I haven't seen that many. (Or maybe I haven't looked enough.)
