I'm not heavily invested in industry so I'll probably never see that kind of money. I instead opt to rub incursions for my money. While I could easily make that kind of money if all I did was run incursions, that doesn't sound to fun to me as I'd much rather be roaming out with my corp in null and low.

I used too, but I had to take some time off becuase it was consuming too much of my time. The learning curve is pretty steep, but once you get into it the game is fun as hell and it really gets you hooked. Like, drug-addiction hooked...

I had the same dilemma back when I first wanted to play. It looked fun, but I could never get into it. Eventually I just dedicated a full day to reading start-up guides then signed up for the trial. The game stuck at that point and I had an absolute blast. If you do decide to start playing, be wary of a few things. The first is that the game might take a few tries to stick; if you don't like the game on your first go definitely try again later. The second is that the game has a really steep learning curve. If you try to play by yourself, you probably won't have much fun. Read some starter guides, join a noob company, and don't be afraid to ask questions. It'll really help you acclimate to the game.
