Note: The hover bike you're referring to is officially called a "Sparrow". And you can get an [u]upgraded[/u] and [u]red[/u] variant of it if you preorder from Gamestop!

There's a Shrike in Destiny, and apparently something called a "Sparrow." We don't know whether these are different vehicles or whether they're the same and Gamestop is calling it by an outdated name. They look the same, but there seems little doubt that there is a vehicle in Destiny called a "Shrike."

Why would I mention a vehicle skin when I am talking about vehicle types? And you don't need to spend much time on the forum to find stuff out like that (hence: old news) , I saw it on MoreConsole's channel yesterday.
