We are far closer to equality than ever before, and in fact it has swinged past almost, as in racial profiling when hiring, ie picking a minority over a qualified candidate, 'white guilt', that black people 'cant be racist', or even that something is owed to the current generation, from the current generation, for something past generations have done. inb4youthinkimracist

Personally I'm in the not really category. Overt racism such as lynchings, burning crosses, spitting at children trying to go to school, or protesting mixed marriages, is certainly gone. If it does exist, it exists in backwater areas that are basically serving as time capsules from our not to spotless past. But equality? I don't see it.
