Are you really that dumb? We will have both weird and wireless charging, that's going to involve innovation because if a better charger is created it can be adopted industry wide. It makes adoption far easier and cheaper on the part of the industry and consumers while cutting the effects on the environment, everybody wins.

They can't even patent the design, something that stagnates innovation......if you want to view a standard that improves look at Smart phones and tablets, pretty much the same and everybody is trying to improve it as a universal standard of those devices.
